A COVID safe plan has been developed by MCC Hockey in accordance with Hockey Victoria’s “Return to hockey” guidelines.
As part of the plan, all participants, officials and spectators MUST sign in upon their arrival at a MCC Hockey session/facility using the form linked to our QR code displayed.

BACK TO HOCKEY – COVID 19 VENUE PROTOCOLS
BEFORE THE GAME OR ENTERING THE FACILITY
If you are feeling unwell you must please stay at home.
COVID-19 Symptoms
The Coronavirus can affect individuals in different ways, most infected people will develop mild to moderate symptoms of the virus which may include
Fever
Dry Cough
Tiredness
Flu like Aches & Pains
Some people may experience the following symptoms
Nasal Congestion
Sore Throat
Runny Nose
Diarrhea
Any member (and parent/guardian/visitor) who tests positive for COVID–19 is asked to immediately notify the club and must not attend any activities under any circumstance until cleared by their own doctor.
If you or a family member has been in close contact with someone who has tested positive to COVID-19 or has the above symptoms within the last 14 days or is waiting for a COVID test result please do not participate until results are confirmed as negative.
Use private transport to get to MCC Hockey if possible.
Come to the ground ready to play (wearing hockey gear, including your shin pads, mouth guards, and shoes).
Everyone entering the facility is strongly recommended to have installed the government COVID tracing app on their phones.
ENTERING THE GROUND / PAVILION
At Check-in Board scan the QR code with your phone and register your contact details.
- IF YOU HAVE ANY PROBLEMS REGISTERING PLEASE LET A COMMITTEE MEMBER KNOW.
Information collected and stored will only be used to inform the Victorian Government if there is a COVID-19 outbreak in our community.
Check in categories are:
- Players/participants and coaches
- Parents/spectators
- Officials, umpires and volunteers
Proceed to ground entry point and show Gate Supervisor your registration confirmation.
Apply hand sanitiser and proceed through the gate.
A face mask is not required to be worn when participating or where social distancing can be maintained, but must be carried with you.
DURING THE GAME
Toilets (and change rooms at MHS) are available for use – maximum capacity restrictions apply.
No equipment sharing – use own labelled drink bottle, hockey stick and glove.
Spectators must be 1.5 metres apart and can only be in maximum groups of 50.
No high fives, handshakes or spitting.
Follow all signage and directions of the Committee, coaches and other officials
Players, officials, parents, carers and spectators presenting at the facility with COVID symptoms will be denied entry and asked to attend their doctor for testing
AFTER THE GAME
Sanitise hands.
Leave the venue promptly.
