Congratulations to Tammy Foley who was recently awarded the MCC Sporting Sections Hans Ebeling Award.
The Hans Ebeling Award honours one of the MCC’s greatest contributors as player and administrator, Hans Ebeling, and recognizes those who have given outstanding service to our Sporting Sections.
Tammy joined the MCC Hockey section in 1982 and has since given outstanding service and unparalleled commitment to the section for the 43 years since Her time at the MCC started as a player coming from Nunawading Ladies Hockey Club, eventually going onto represent the MCC for over 470 senior games (as well as over 300 master games). She has been an active member of the Coaching panel, coaching, mentoring, and leading the next generation and also been a member of the Executive Committee for more than 10 years. Her dedication, passion and leadership have been a driving force and guiding hand since her very first day at the Club.
Tammy’s accolades and achievements exemplify the effort and dedication that she has made to our Hockey section and is a key reason for its continued success. The following achievements put Tammy in rare air as an MCC Sporting giant.
- Played at the highest level in the club – Women’s A Grade, State League 1, Premier League.
- Played over 470 senior games for the club
- Played over 200 men’s masters games for the club
- Played over 120 women’s masters games for the club
- Member of the Hockey executive committee for 7 years
- Member of the Women’s hockey committee for 4 years
- Taken on roles in leadership groups including team captain and mentoring many of our juniors
- Australian U21 player and travelled overseas with the team representing the country

- Nunawading-MacKinnon Trophy for outstanding contribution to the women’s section – 2015
